RITUAL Club Spa - Brand Identity

Completed March 2017, some aspects are still under development.

This project consisted in a complete rebranding of a salon & spa based in Lima, Perú. Vandalhaus was in charged of creating an entirely new identity for the spa, from the name, to the online presence, and all stationary.

The name “RITUAL” came from the idea of the spa being a place of transformation and relaxation, were many a beauty ritual could make the clients feel anew. This same idea was tied to the metamorphosis a butterfly undergoes, thus becoming a metaphor in the main Rs of the logo. The logo type was build specially for this client. Lato is its companion body type, and a specially made display font named “Mariposa” is currently under development for merchandise and online communications. Furthermore, since Perú holds the world record in butterfly species, a butterfly house was implemented into the space renovations as lively decoration and a celebration of national fauna.

The second part of the name “Club Spa”, came from the client’s idea to create a new type of beauty service, one that treated its clients as members of a club instead of just passersby. The main goal was to make it luxurious, innovative and modern, yet warm and welcoming.

The project is still under development and awaiting the Grand Opening on July 08, but some snippets of the visual identity can already be displayed.

To be completed remain:

1. “Mariposa display” type (under development), to be used in merchandise and online communications.
2. Website, were clients will be able to see all services offered, make appointments, and take advantage of coupons and sales.
3. A visual relaxation soundtrack titled “MAЯRIPOSA” specially produced for RITUAL Club Spa, to be played as surround music in all spaces of the spa and video to be shown in the main courtyard.
