I started my quest of learning the art of bookmaking with two words in mind: Young and Old.
The goal of the project was to create a book in its entirely based on the relationship of these two words. From cover design, layout, and content, this book delves into the dual relationship of what it means to be young and to be old. I wanted to create a book that would bring generations together. For that reason each chapter begins with a poem introducing the topic to discuss in simple and musical words, later on there are articles that explore such topic even further. I thought it would be a great book kids would enjoy reading with their grandparents and learn everything that makes them different and alike. Perfect for bonding time. =)
