Identity for the Rutger-Newark 2015 BFA Graphic Design Exhibition.
18 student show design solutions to social issues they found in their community. From nutrition and fitness, to safety and culture, they all build upon each other for the betterment of the city of Newark. The identity brand and logo system plays on the idea of Newark’s title of “Brick City”. Each project becomes a brick used in the edification of a better city. The name of the exhibit illustrates the design process: Define the problem, refine the proposal and finally, edify a solution. Furthermore, each student created a personal logo mark that identifies their project based on the 4 lines and 4 circles that form the Brick of the main logo.
