BFA in Graphic Design – Senior Thesis
Completed May 2015.
For our senior thesis, the graduating class had the challenge to find design solutions that would help the renaissance of the city of Newark. My project was built on the idea of introducing a new way to experience and interact with the city. In order to accomplish this, I designed a phone application built upon the idea of a scavenger hunt that would take users in group missions to key locations around the city. The missions can take the form of trivia, fill-in the words, image matching by geolocation or image sharing on social media platforms. As these missions are completed, users are rewarded with points that can later be redeemed for offers in participating businesses.
The goal was to turn our daily interaction with the city into a game that exists as a physical and online community alike. While playing, NewWalk teaches you about Newark’s history, landmarks, events and introduces you to local vendors. My hope was that in the future New-Walk could be an application used by students and residents alike, who wish to play, learn and enjoy our city even more.

Business Plan and Rocket Pitch: NewWalk goes global!
NewWalk App was selected as a project to develop in my Intro to Entrepreneurship class, and together with a team of 4 classmates, we were able to develop a detailed business plan and rocket pitch presentation. For this project NewWalk went international, added extra features and presented itself as a new way to “Discover the World”.
